This is a muscular wine, framed in firm, ripe tannins and blessed with a complex array of coffee, cassis, blackberry, blueberry, licorice and herb flavors.  The finish is smoky, rich and long.  Should age quite well in the cellar.  --J.M. (6/1/2004)
